The Dancing Queens: A Tribute to ABBA celebrates the music and spectacle that continues to take the world by storm more than 40 years later. Kirbi Jo Long and Amy Whelchel bring a modern twist while paying an honest tribute with original costumes and a true passion for the music that ABBA brought to life so many years ago. With hits like Dancing Queen, Chiquitita, Fernando, The Winner Takes it All, Waterloo, Super Trooper, Mama Mia, and many more, you are sure to be singing along and dancing to some of the greatest music of our generation.
Kirbi Jo Long is best known for her leading role in Divas3, as well as her solo act Simply Olivia: The Ultimate Tribute to Olivia Newton John. Making television appearances on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and NBC' "The Winner Is," Kirbi moved to Las Vegas in 2012 after landing a role in Donn Arden's "Jubilee!" and subsequently, starring in "Vegas! The Show" at Planet Hollywood as Cher and Keely Smith. Long fronted numerous top 40 bands with Hank Lane Productions out of New York City and performed with The Red Hot Band out of Los Angeles. She also toured with the USO Show Troupe, with whom she opened for Katy Perry and Tim McGraw, took the main stage at the Times Square New Years Eve Celebration, and performed the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium. Long relocated from Las Vegas to her hometown of Omaha, NE in 2020 where she now resides with her two young sons and husband. Amy Whelchel hails from Sydney, Australia and caught the travel bug young. She started out touring nationwide with Australian boy band “Human Nature” in their Motown arena tour, performing for 20,000 strong crowds a night, before joining the cast of international sensation - Broadway’s The Lion King. She was then cast as Dance Captain/Diva in the original cast of Priscilla Queen of The Desert on The West End in London, and also performed the show as part of an all-star comeback cast in New Zealand.
After moving to the U.S., Whelchel was cast as the lead singer in Pin Up and Zombie Burlesque in Las Vegas, NV, performed in “Legends In Concert” & “Elvis Lives,” as well as traveling the world as a Guest Entertainer doing her own ‘Diva’ show on leading cruise lines. She is a member of LA’s “The Red Hot Band,” and currently tours with the Johnny Cash tribute show - “The Man In Black.”
Now based in Myrtle Beach, Whelchel hopes to continue doing what she loves for many more years to come, in the country that she calls her ‘home away from home.’
